GLOSSary: a GLobal Ocean 16S Subunit web accessible resource

GLOSSary (GLobal Ocean 16S Subunit web accessible resource) is a sequence analysis and exploration platform for marine metagenomics efforts.

Sequences, taxonomic affiliations, metadata and geo-spatial distributions as well as results from an in house implemented pipeline (Tangherlini et. al) can be accessed by an interactive query page and a dedicated blast service.

The current release is dedicated to the 16S miTAGs  (http://ocean-microbiome.embl.de/companion.html) collection from the TARA project.

GLOSSary is developed and maintained by the BIOINforMA service at the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn.
